ONLY 30 DAYS UNTIL WE LEAVE FOR
MARDI GRAS!

Bourbon Street WebCam
Still Version

HARRY:

Harry's Christmas specials were even more wonderful than I expected.  I watched one while putting up my Christmas tree.  Geese, I love him!

His New Year's Eve concert at the Bellagio was pretty fantastic.  Of course everyone knows that I didn't get to go, but I did catch it on TV.  I spent New Year's Eve with Fadi and some friends. They let me stay in front of the TV long enough not to miss his mini-concert on ABC.

Anyone as neurotic as myself can watch a clip of his private New Year's Eve concert.  They have posted it on ABC's website.   I have no idea how long it will be there, but it's pretty good.  And it shows his beautiful wife, Jill, too.

I am planning a sub-site dedicated to Harry, so I can join the Harry Connick WebRing.  I have amassed quite a collection of images, clips and info that include him.  I would like to get it set up within the next couple of months.  If anyone has anything to send me, or knows of other sources of Harry memorabilia, let me know.  I'd love to see it.

TECHBITS:

My Visor has turned out to be even better visor.jpg (15960 bytes)than I thought.  I use it daily, and it's fantastic for keeping track of appointments, etc.  I am definitely recommending it to anyone who needs to stay organized.

AvantGo is a great website to hit if you have a PDA.  It will let you customize websites that you would like to have downloaded to your PDA every day.  It's great for watching my stock....which is DIVING again.

There are so many sites that offer great software for the PalmOS that I don't know where to start.  Here's a few of the better ones:  PalmGearZDNetHandago.

It's a great place to start.  If you have any questions, or are looking for a particular piece of software, let me know and I will see if I can help.

LINUX:                        Linux Resources

T
his is funny.  You know I bought Katie her own domain name for her birthday.  Well, I went a little crazy.  This months Linux Journal had a blurb about great domain names that haven't been taken.  So,.....we got http://www.linuxgoddess.com   I can't believe someone didn't snag this already!

Okay, okay, I know I'm not a linux goddess, but someday I may be.  And in the mean time I wouldn't want someone stealing my fame and fortune....

TEXAS:

I didn't make it to Smithville's Festival of Lights in December.  I wish I could have.  I would love to visit, and maybe make it my home someday.  The small town simplicity fascinates me.  ....  And, it's a mere SIX HOUR drive to New Orleans....

MOM:

Last weekend a friend jason_before.jpg (82730 bytes) of mine from grade-school, Jason Longergan,  celebrated a birthday in grand 70's style.  There were a few classmates there, and Longergans coming out of the woodwork.  Happy Birthday, Jason, I hope you had fun!

I haven't been able to speak to Foo in quite some time, but last I heard he was doing fantastic!  He's feeling much better and will be right as rain directly.  He's back at work eager to clean up the messes left for him.  I am so happy to hear that.  I LOVE YOU FOO!

Chris Colton recently treated me to a trip to Kansas City to see the WONDERFUL CHIEFS!  It was freezing cold, but the beer was good and game was even better.

We met some friends at a pre-game tailgate, where we were treated to eggs, bacon, biscuits and MIMOSA's!  It was wonderful.  I was the only person that thought to bring some hand & foot warmers (everyone was terribly jealous) so alot of them froze.  We were stacked like sardines in the stadium, and the poor guy in front of me got spilled on a couple of times.  SORRY!  I'll do better next time.

MARDI GRAS:

The most recent development is a little depressing.  My friend Rachel won't be able to come along.  She has had to cancel her plans.  That means that we have room for one more, and we also have a ticket for Orpheuscapade available.  Anyone interested should email me.

W
e made our reservations for  our  Mardi Gras 2000 trip.  We will be going March 4th through the 10th, and staying at the Hotel Monteleone.   Pretty snazzy, huh?  If anyone needs to get ahold of us while we're there, I'll still be getting my email, and you can always CALL US!  We'd love to hear from our friends.  I am also hoping to have access to a laptop to be able to download some of the photos during our week long stay.  I want you guys to be able to be a part of the fun.....

Our tickets for Orpheuscapade will be here in February.  I'm interested to see what they look like.  They say that they're collectors items and people usually have them framed.  I'll post an image when it finally shows!

I got an email from Harry's publicist regarding the whole attendance issue.  She said that he hasn't finalized plans.  Which means,....WHO KNOWS!  He better show up.  Maybe if he knew I was coming.......

LEXI:

Lexi is getting bigger every day.  I never knew she could grow so fast.  We had her spayed last week.  I am a firm believer in puppy birth control.  There are too many horrible pet owners out there.  Adopt one that needs a good home, and GET THEM FIXED!

Since the release of Harry Connick Jr.'s Come By Me, mommy has been preoccupied.  She thinks he's perfect.  Mommy sure is silly.. But Harry's site is really cool. Check it out.

This search engine will find just about ANY MP3, if it's out there.
