MOM:

I have been working on a project in Ankeny, that will consist of replacing about 1/2 mile of roadway.  We're also going to be widening.....you know us engineers...... "PAVE THE WORLD!!"  This is my lead tech, Mike.  I couldn't do it without him! 

That's what everyone is thinking, anyway.  :)  I'm just a misunderstood nerd.  I've started the picture taking process, to keep a video diary of my first major project at Snyder.  I think it's going to turn out GREAT.....but my boss is still stressed.  RELAX BRIAN!

Katie recently picked me as a very important person in her life, so I got to spend a few hours with her in her classroom.....it was VERY cute.  The kids were all so proud of the things that they were learning, and VERY eager to show them off.  :)  We got to have our picture taken together.  It was great!  She is getting SO big.....that must mean that I am getting so OLD!  Crap.

I still haven't started studying for the PE, but I WILL.......eventually.  I have promised my Firm that I will pass, and if I don't.....well, we won't think about that.

Most of my friends are aware that my father is suffering from liver disease, and is on the wait list for a donor.  We are all praying for him, and he's spunky as ever.  Over Thanksgiving dinner he was still scolding me for my construction-worker-type language that seems to get worse every year........We love you, DAD!

Thanksgiving at mom's this year was nice.  We all made it together, which is getting to be a feat, since there are SEVENTEEN of us now.  And Jennifer came to visit from Phoenix, so it was nice to have her with us, as well.  Mom & Jen finally bonded, which was nice.  :)  Way to go, RITA!

TECHIE JUNK:

My newest love?......JOE Jr.  I got a GREAT new laptop....and got sucked into Unreal Tournament 2003.....IT'S AWESOME!  I haven't been playing the games much, because with winter comes colds....and Katie's been a little under the weather lately, which means I have to swap free time for working.  :) 

I do love the laptop, though, because it has saved me so much time & effort, with taking work home, etc.

NEWS: 

KATIE:

Katie has a LOT to say about Kindergarten and LOTS of pictures!  She's got a new kindergarten teacher, Miss Tyler.  Who we love very much.  Katie's learning how to read, and LOVES showing off her new found skills.  Especially since it has aided her in learning how to use the remote control......kids.

Katie had a great time with her cousins over Thanksgiving dinner, and she was really thankful for Jennifer visiting......Jennifer likes to tell Katie how grouchy I am, and this makes her laugh.  :)

LEXI & CO.:

I don't think I've ever put up any pictures of Chief, our "new" Yorkie.  He's a doll....a bit of a shit sometimes, but cute.  Everyone knows my policy:  "Half as cute, twice as much trouble."

Chief has REALLY taken to Lexi.  However, that little dog DEFINITELY thinks he's in charge.  It's very funny to watch.  They sleep like this alot.  Poor litte Chief isn't quite accustomed to the cold weather yet.  And since he has eaten all of his sweaters, it's going to be a battle to get him out the door when the snow begins to fall.

We have also recently taken in a new addition to the family.  His/her name is Isabelle.  There is some discrepancy as to the sex of this new little kitty.  The vet says boy......Katie is vehemently arguing GIRL.  So, we're sticking with Isabelle for now.  It seems that EVERYONE loves Lexi.......
